A Muma and her Baby Belly

When I look at a Muma and her bump, it always makes me stop. I have “all of the feels”, I want to go over and ask a thousand questions.. Not for business purposes, but because it just makes me soooo happy.

This is such an emotional roller coaster for a new mum. Life is about to change, more then they are even ready for. They are giving up the freedom of just doing whatever, whenever. They are giving up the freedom of their bodies (& minds), their identity is about to change forever. They will start to be called the most important name in the word “Mum”. AND This is a HUGE milestone!!!!
I dont think they are really given the opportunity to stop and appreciate or reflect on this until its too late..

If you are a Muma go back and think to the first moment you found out you were expecting.. Had you been planning for ages? Or was it a spontaneous decision? Either way OMG how were you feeling that moment you found out??

Then telling your partner? Can you remember their reaction? Were they over the moon excited, shocked, emotional, scared??

The very first thing you bought? Was it practical? or a cute headband or some awesome kicks?

Then the first moment you felt your baby kick? Were they going to be a soccer player? or an acrobat? Could they stay still?

Then the first moment your partner felt a kick? Did they cry? Or did you cry?

How did you pick a name? Did you always have “Your” name growing up? Did you have an annoying/ helpful friend that sent you names weekly (haha this is me with my friends and family).. Did you and your partner agree?

Did you have cravings? Were they weird? Did you get foods out of your nutrition because it grossed you out? or was it just normal?

What week did you start the “baby waddle” ?? Earlier then expected or right near the end? Did you feel like baby was just about to drop out at any moment, so you just had to squeeze those legs nice and tight?

Then the first look at your baby.. was it just the best feeling ever? Did you just ball your eyes out? Were you shocked because you were sure you were having a little boy and now you have a princess? Did your partner cry?

Oh the feels, I just love it all.
To the expecting Muma’s out there I wish you the best of luck, I hope one day I get to hear your story.
Big loves B ox

I am truly blessed to have beautiful family and friends, so I know how important capturing those special moments in life are.
