What i do when i am not behind the camera

Today as I write this we have just come out of Isolation, we are four weeks out of lockdown and it feels soo amazing. However Victoria has just gone back into lockdown for 6weeks due to a spike in their cases. So I am extremely worried that we will be back in isolatioln within a couple of weeks, not only as a Newborn Photographer is this scary, but this is a scary time for everyone. Care & safety is always my focus, so I hope that everyone is being extremely careful and distancing themselves when and where they can.

As a newborn photographer I am having soo much fun being back behind my camera capturing these special moments for my families, I didn’t realise how much I missed it until I was back in the Bokeh Photography studio. My newborn babies are just beautiful and make my days so much more enjoyable having such special conversations with my parents about their birth journey, how much life has already changed, the hard and exciting moments so far and all the new things to look forward in the near future. I love ALL the details.

I feel blessed being able to spend my day giving cuddles and hanging out in the peacefulness of my little studio. With my little white noise baby “shoosher”, my camera and little bubba being all the sounds I am paying attention too.

Outside of spending my day as a newborn photographer rocking little babies and editing their precious little faces I spend my early mornings training my clients in the gym around the corner (which I co-operate with my Fiancé) and doing all of the behind the scenes work to run the business, admin, accounts and writing training programs for the classes and PT clients. We have a small Group training studio in Penrith, our community of members are the greatest humans ever. They are just cool, kind, dedicated people who believe in working hard, without making it “hard work”. We thrive off having fun and we do this in a functional group training style, with a “you do you approach” to looking and feeling your greatest of all time. It’s the best!! I personally LOVE training, I love challenging my body and my mind in every way possible.
It is such a rush of adrenaline that I thrive off.

Living a healthy lifestyle is extremely important to me and has been my world since I was young, I always played team sports and when I turned 15 I was in the gym both working and training.
I love being active and adventuring! This could consist of a bushwalk through the national park, a road trip to the beach for lunch, wine tasting down south or just getting out and trialling something different with people that I love. I surround myself with inspirational people everyday from all different walks of life who just want to live happier, healthy lives. This keeps me wanting to be a better person every day.
And look sometimes I like just sitting still… It doesn’t happen often enough but I find it really important for my mental health. I find clarity and peace whilst reading a good book, listening to a podcast or watching Netflix on the couch with a glass of cab sav. My life and decisions are all about balance and happiness.

Speaking of happiness.. I survive off 2 coffee’s a day (because oh the smell and taste is just delicious), great nutritious food, keeping active and being around amazing people.

I honestly feel like I live the dream life.. and I believe everyone has the power to feel this way too.
